INSight’s Master Watch Control Log is a user-friendly, lightweight, multi-purpose, web-based information management tool that helps watch staff personnel and the broader infrastructure protection community manage the safety and security of our nation’s resources and infrastructures. Requiring only a web browser and user account for access, INSight is an analytical tool that facilitates an organization’s ability to manage critical information effectively across geographically-dispersed locations. Users can gather, monitor, and analyze data from both government and open commercial sources.
Developed to serve as an operation watch log, INSight manages information workflows. It documents and captures information in a searchable, enterprise-level database, automatically generates finished reports, and creates a timeline of events that are shared among registered users. Because of its workflow process, users and management can closely monitor tasks from inception to resolution, including management notification of new requests and alerts for upcoming suspense times. INSight also functions as the NICC’s suspicious activity report collection, generation, and management database.
