Spacecraft Development & Integration

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems has a legacy of engineering excellence that includes the design and development of several high performance satellites for both the Department of Defense and NASA. These include three Miniature Sensor Technology Integration satellites for the U.S. Air Force and Missile Defense Agency, which tested miniature sensor technologies in missile detection and tracking, and gathered background data on the earth’s atmosphere and environment.

As prime contractor for the MightySat II Program, the U.S. Air Force’s primary space demonstration platform, we designed, built and integrated advanced imaging, communications, and spacecraft bus components.

We manufacture spacecraft based upon our AccommodatingBus™ approach that allows the spacecraft to be tailored to a specific payload or mission through a timely and cost-effective process. This approach has yielded a 100% on-orbit success rate for diverse and challenging space applications.
