Axsys Technologies is a division of General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems.  Axsys was acquired by General Dynamics in September 2009.

• Cameras and Camera Systems: Our infrared systems incorporate the latest developments in sensor technology enabling viewing and surveillance of human-size target detection at distances up to 20km. Our stabilized cameras, from single HD to multi-sensor HD and IR systems, set the standard for image quality, stability, and reliability in aerial law enforcement, public safety, ENG and broadcast and production.
• Optical Systems: Axsys is a leading supplier of high-performance optical solutions and services for applications that demand the most stringent optical requirements such as fast scanning mirrors, laser and micro-inspection systems, and integrated optical lens assemblies.
• Motion Control Products: Axsys produces high performance brushless and brush type torque and servo motors, resolvers, direct drive assemblies that provide extremely high power density and precision motion control. These products are integrated into systems such as multi-axis gimbals, pan and tilt positioning systems, laser positioning and high-speed optical scanning and tracking systems.
