Remote access to corporate resources via the Juniper IVE.
The Juniper SSL/VPN IVE (which stands for Secure Socket Layer/Virtual Private Network Instant Virtual Extranet) provides a web based encrypted connection to various corporate resources over the internet.

The encryption uses your web browser to create a secure, encrypted tunnel between your PC and the IVE.  Internet Explorer and Fire Fox are currently supported by the platform though other browsers may also function.  This will then give you access to defined resources (through your web browser) within GDAIS.

Requirements:
You will need a computing device with a web browser that can support at least 128 bit encryption.  Most browsers now can support this level of encryption.

You will also need an RSA SecurID key that gives you access to GDAIS corporate resources.

What to do:
From outside the GDAIS network, direct your browser to the following URL:  https://ive.gd-ais.com

Please notice the “s” after the http.  That is for secure connections.  If you fail to put the “s” in the location bar, your connection may not work.

You will then be presented with a login screen with four fields.

  • The first is your GD-AIS user ID (example:  john.doe).
  • The second is your SecureID PIN plus Passcode.  This is the PIN that you chose with your SecureID key.  If your PIN number is 5555 and your SecurID (on your RSA SecurID token) is currently 444333 then this entry would be: 5555444333.
  • The third itm is your Network (AD) Password.  This is your current password you use to log on to the GD corporate network.
  • The fourth field is called Realm.  At the current time, please leave this in its default (GDAIS User) setting.

Then click “Sign In.”
